then run yeastgenome.stanford.edu/info.php
it will give you a large page with lots of php/apache info.

the current problem is that when you create a new user and try to login,
the browser gives an error "can't open page"

suggestions are change setting for apache email,
check php.  but this seems to be working fine.

The page stopped working after these changes were made.
've made the changes to the Dev Wiki per our discussion at todays group meeting.  I've removed Recaptcha, used
 the SGD Suggestion form in the Log in/create account page, and set EmailConfirmToEdit = true.

seems to me this is propbably where the root of the problem lies. as php
was not changed,  hmmmmmmm.
